DRIVING MECHANISM FOR RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and to contrive miniaturization and light weight by attaching a driving pin to an untoothed gear for driving a tape loading means for winding a tape around a guide cylinder and a changeover means for individual operation modes of the tape and providing a cam part for engaging with the driving pin to a cassette moving means. CONSTITUTION:A cassette is slid toward the guide cylinder 1 until an overlapping position of the two to complete the loading, during the tape loading operation by converting the circular motion of the untoothed gear 6 into the linear motion of the cassette moving means 3 by means of the driving pin 6a on the untoothed gear 6 and the cam part 4 of the cassette moving means 3. Thus, the mechanism 3 for moving the cassette 9 is realized only by attaching one driving pin 6a onto the untoothed gear 6 and providing a cam hole in a required shape on a cassette startup plate.
