<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the compatibility of the merit of long time recording and reproducing and the merit of good quality recording and reproducing in a short time by providing a signal delaying means and executing the recording so as not to generate guard bands in both recording modes of a short time recording mode and a long time recording mode. CONSTITUTION:A pick-up head 10 generates a drum pulse at the time of using a video head 6 for a short time recording mode and a pulse for the comparing signal of a drum servo. On the other hand, at the time of using a video head 7 for a long time recording mode, the pulse from the pick-up head 10 corresponding to the video head 6 for the short time recording mode to precede at the time of the recording is delayed by a time corresponding to a phase difference between the video head 6 for the short time recording mode and the video head 7 for the long time recording mode by means of a signal delaying circuit such as a monomultivibrator, and the pulse is made into a pulse signal for the video head 7 for the long time recording mode. Consequently, another pick-up corresponding to the video head 7 for the long time recording mode does not need to be provided.</p> |
