摘要 A rate gyro having two degrees of freedom, in which a torque produced about the frame axis 8 as a result of a rotational speed about a third axis 16 is compensated by means of a torque transmitter 12, has an optoelectrical measuring pick-off for determining the deflection of the frame axis. The optoelectrical measuring pick-off is distinguished in that either a slit diaphragm 14 connected to the gyro frame 7 is arranged between a light-emitting diode (LED) 13 connected to a gyro housing 2 and a two-section differential photodiode 15 likewise fastened to the housing or that a mirror 101 connected to the gyro frame 7 reflects the light emitted by the LED 13 and thus partially illuminates the differential photodiode 15. In the case of a deviation of the gyro frame 7, the current increases in one partial area of the differential photodiode 15 and decreases in the other partial area. The different partial currents occurring in this case are processed in a gyro electronic unit. The current flowing through the coils 27, 28 of the torque transmitter 12 is directly proportional to the input rotational speed OMEGA e. <IMAGE>
