PURPOSE:To obtain an appearance having metallic touch or the like and make it possible to independently select each material, which has performance and function required for the application, by a method wherein base coating is poured on the surface of a molded item, which has been molded in forces, in the forces so as to form an undercoating film and, further, facing coating is poured in the forces in order to form a final coating film on the undercoating film. CONSTITUTION:At the stage that glass fiber reinforced thermosetting compound, for example, is thermoformed in forces fitted together to each other and, after that, almost hardened, the forces are opened so as to make a gap, by which an undercoating film having a film thickness of about 20-400mu is obtained, between the top and bottom forces. Base coating is injectingly poured in the open forces. After that, the forces are tightly closed again so as to let the base coating evenly cover and percolate the surface of a molded item by applying a pressure of about 20-200kg/cm<2> and heating at about 100-180 deg.C for a period ranging from several ten seconds to several minutes. After nearly perfect hardening of the base coating, the forces are opened again so as to make a gap, by which a final coating film having a film thickness of about 20-200mum is obtained. Similarly hereinafter, facing coating is injectingly poured in the open forces and the forces are tightly closed again and the coating is hardened under pressure and heat. |
