Polypeptide derivs. of formula (I) or their pharmaceutically acceptable salts are prepd. In (I), m and n are each 0 or 1; W is (a) [R5=phenyl, 4-hydroxy (or methoxy) phenyl, 4-imidazolyl propyl or isopropyl ; W1 is (b); W2 is (c) [R6=-NH2-, -NH-C(=NH) or -CH2NH2 ; R is H, amino-protective acyl, prolyl or pyroglutamil [n=1 ; R is phenoxy acetyl or 2-benzyl-3-phenylpropionyl n=0 ; R1 and R2 are each H, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 alkenyl, phenyl; R3 and R4 are each H, C1-6 alkyl, phenyl. The derivs. are rennin inhibitors useful as an antihypertensive agent.
