PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic ceramics which has a small dimensional change rate at the time of sintering, is variable in electric resistivity from a conductor to an insulator and has excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, etc., by heating a molding contg. respectively specific metal particles and magnetic particles in a nitriding or oxidizing gaseous atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:The metal particles (e.g.: Si) of >=1 kinds among groups III-VIII of the periodic table and the magnetic particles of >=1 kinds selected from the simple substances of, for example, Fe, Co, Ni, Gd, and Dy, and compds. of Mn, Cr and Cu, and if necessary, an inorg. compd. (e.g.: SiC) are kneaded and molded by using a binder for molding (e.g.: PE wax) to the molding having >=60% particle volume packing density; thereafter, the molding is heated in the nitriding or oxidizing gaseous atmosphere. The sintered body in which the inorg. compds. and the magnetic particles are bonded to each other by the nitride or oxide ceramics formed from the metal particles and which has <=40% porosity and <=90vol.% magnetic particle content is thereby obtd. |
