PURPOSE: To quickly perform desired adjustment in a device for effecting the fine adjustment of the relative angular orientation of a steering wheel and steering shaft by providing a frictional member and a regulating part between a sleeve on the shaft side and a hub on the steering wheel side. CONSTITUTION: The end part 11 of a steering shaft 10 is formed with the male conical bearing face 110 of a conical joint and an external spline 111, meanwhile, a steering wheel is provided with a hub 20 having the female conical bearing face 210 of the conical joint. A sleeve 40 is interposed between the hub 20 and the end part 11, and it is fitted to the shaft 10 by spline engagement. In the above-stated fine adjustment device, an annular space 42 is set between the sleeve 40 and the hub 20, and a frictional member 50 is arranged therein. Further a regulating part constituted of a control mechanism (notch 610, 610') 61, a limiting means (chord 433, 433') prescribing the maximum value of an allowable angle, and a safety stopper (edge 434, 434') is provided. |
