The glazing seal is for use in a wooden door or window, the glass being supported along its periphery on a bar in the door etc. etc.. It is sealed on the weather side and inside by peripheral strips, each with a head portion joined by a rib to a foot portion with holding lips. There are two sealing lips on the head portion, one bearing against the glass and the other against the holding strip. The holding strip (4) is supported from the frame bar (3) via the blocks (2) supporting the glass (1) at its periphery the block width (V) being greater than the glass thickness (F). The rebates (20) in the door accommodating the glazing and the holding strip are each stepped (17) on their sides towards the door and clear of the portion bearing against the blocks, so as to accommodate the foot portion of the sealing strip. USE/ADVANTAGE - Glazing seal used in door or window with wooden frame. Simplicity and rapid installation, and easy replacement of existing sealing strips.
