<p>PURPOSE: To surely check the conducting condition of connecting conduit between conduits by forming a closed current path via the ends of the conduits connected to both ends of the connecting conduit, the connecting conduit, and a monitoring system, and operating the shut-off devices of the conduits by means of the monitoring system. CONSTITUTION: A conduit 1 is connected to a conduit 4 via a connecting conduit 3 and shut-off devices 10, 11 are placed at the ends of the conduits 1, 4. Starting from a monitoring system 13 electrically connected to the conduits 1, 4, a closed current path is formed via a conductor 15', a first termination member 7, the connecting conduit 3, a second termination member 7, and a conductor 15. The monitoring system 13 applies a predetermined voltage to the current path, and, from the resistance of the current path or the current measured, obtains information about whether or not the appropriate connection between the conduits 1, 4 exists.</p> |
