<p>PURPOSE:To reduce variation in film thickness of one product and between products by mounting a nonlinear resistor on a pair of painting rollers whose section is immersed in insulating varnish of which viscosity is maintained at a specified level and by rotating the painting rollers in a same direction to apply the insulating varnish to a peripheral surface of the nonlinear resistor. CONSTITUTION:A pair of painting rollers 8, 8 which are longer than an axial size of a cylindrical or tubular nonlinear resistor 1 to be provided with an insulating coat are arranged at an interval D2 which is smaller than an outer diameter D1 of the nonlinear resistor 1, and the lower section thereof is im mersed in liquid insulating varnish 7 inside a varnish tank 9. The painting rollers 8, 8 are rotated in a same direction with the nonlinear resistor 1 mounted on the painting rollers 8, 8 to rotate the nonlinear resistor 1, and to apply the insulating varnish 7 attached to the surface of the painting rollers 8, 8 to a peripheral surface of the nonlinear resistor 1 to form an insulating coat. Temperature of the insulating varnish 7 inside the varnish tank 9 is controlled to keep the viscosity within a range of 10000cp-2000000cp.</p> |
