<p>PURPOSE:To properly detect and warn icing snow on the electric wire by utilizing variation in electrostatic capacity caused by the interposition of icing snow between the electric wire and an electrode installed at its outer periphery. CONSTITUTION:The electrode 2 which is supported while insulated from the electric wire 1 is provided and capacitance C is formed between the electric wire 1 and electrode 2. This capacitance is connected to the oscillation circuit of a CR oscillator 3 incorporated in a radio transmitter 3 and the range of the oscillation frequency is set to a prescribed audio range. The ratio transmitter 3 is provided with a radio oscillator 32 which oscillates a carrier separately and its oscillation frequency is set to the oscillation frequency of a ultrashort wave band or microwave band. Then when there is the icing snow on the electric wire 1, the icing snow is interposed between the surface of the electric wire 1 and electrode 2 to increase the capacitance C, the resonance frequency of the oscillator 31 varies, and the state of the variation is received by a receiver as it is and displayed out.</p> |
