Auxiliary device for protecting and covering in an aesthetic manner the control panels of built-in cooking hobs. Consisting of an aluminium or chromium-plated steel or the like support 1 in the geometrical shape of a U 5,5'' and complementing the knobs. It is overmounted by a cover 3 consisting of a glass, plastic or the like plate which is transparent or has a smoked appearance and is capable of covering 4, 4' the said control knobs, and is articulated by two pivots 2, 2'' and held to the plate B by two magnets or clips 6, 6'' inserted into the support 1. The device according to the invention is intended most particularly for the protection and for the aesthetic appearance of cooking hobs. <IMAGE>
