<??>The organosilicon compounds of the invention have the following general formula:

R1 denotes an electron-donor group
R2 denotes an electron-acceptor group,
R3 and R4 which are identical or different, denote an alkyl or aryl radical, hydrogen or a radical R1 or R2.
<??>These compounds have a nonzero second-order hyperpolarisability coefficient beta and are active in nonlinear optics.
<??>They can be employed especially in telecommunications devices.
