PURPOSE:To sufficiently express the effect specific to an acoustic instrument by controlling the timbre components of the musical sound signals obtd. in accordance with pitch information. CONSTITUTION:While pitch data are transmitted through a pitch detecting circuit 2 to a sound source 3, the data are transmitted through the circuit 2 and a voltage converter 4 to a central frequency control terminal F and a band control terminal W in a band-pass filter 8. The touch response data indicating the speed of the pushed keys are transmitted, on one hand, through a touch response detecting circuit 5 to a sound volume control terminal V in parallel therewith and is transmitted, on the other hand, through the circuit 5 and an envelope former 7 to a gain control terminal G in the filter 8. The musical sound data with envelope outputted from the sound source 3 is subjected to sound volume control according to the various intensities of the touches in a voltage control amplifier 6 and are then subjected to timbre control in accordance with the pitches thereof and the various intensities of the touches in the filter 8. The effect specific to the acoustic instrument is expressed in this way. |
