An assembly to be used on additionally insulating wall 5 to support the insulation 7 and the facing plaster 8, comprises a supporting member 3 adapted to be fastened to the wall so as to project substantially at right angles therefrom to extend through and support an insulation mounted thereon, and an engaging means 4 adapted to be mounted on the supporting member on the outside of the insulation to retain the insulation thereon and to engage and support the facing plaster disposed on the outside of the insulation. The engaging means 4 has a hole 15 in which the supporting member 3 is to be inserted when the engaging means 4 is mounted thereon, an abutment surface 14 adapted to bear against the insulation 7, and projections 23 engaging the facing plaster which are substantially parallel with the abutment surface 14. Plaster can penetrate between each of the projections 23.
