PURPOSE:To eliminate the faults for the subsequent signal processing jobs by providing a control means which updates the recording tracks to record the information another unrecorded track when the information already recorded on the track is confirmed. CONSTITUTION:It is decided whether the information is already recorded or not on a due track 14 via the previous recording actions 15 when an optical recording medium 11 is put into an optical recording an reproducing device. When the recorded information is confirmed, no information is recorded on the track 14 any more even though the track 14 includes an unrecorded area where the information can be additionally recorded. Then the information is recorded on another track 14 including no recorded information. Thus the recording time points of the information 15 can be integrated for each track 14. Therefore the coincidence of diameters of the pits 16 can be secured for each track 14 among the recording time 15a preceding the previous recording time 15b, the time 15b and the present recording time 15c respectively. Thus it is possible to eliminate the amplitude change of a waveform among sectors of a single track 14 and to eliminate the faults for the subsequent signal processing jobs.
