<p>PURPOSE: To establish a stable running by performing a shift from a high gear ratio to a low one when the output speed of a converter is smaller than the specified value and the transmission ratio has been minimized before the shift operation. CONSTITUTION: A control device 4 actuates couplings K1 and K2 to make shifting from a high gear ratio to a low one if the output speed of a fluid motor 5 of a hydrostatic transmission 29, i.e., a signal from a sensor 14, is smaller than any set value and the transmission ratio is set to any value and has attained a minimum value generated by the running resistance before the shift operation of an under-the-load convertive transmission 7. Accordingly the stability in running of a vehicle operated by the fluid is enhanced, and hydrostatic converter 29 works following a mechanical under-the-load convertive transmission 7 so that stable running can be maintained without increasing the consumption of the fluid.</p> |
