<p>PURPOSE: To provide a lightweight, easily manufacturable and operationally reliable pipe switch by mutually joining the pipe parts in the respective end parts through an intermediate member and in the center through a rotary shaft of a cock. CONSTITUTION: A first connecting part 1a and a second connecting part 1b have a common central shaft, and this central shaft extends by being dislocated from the geometrical center of a casing 1. The casing 1 is closed by two side covers 2a, 2b, and a rotary shaft 4.5 of a cock 4 arranged in the casing 1 through bearing bushes 3a, 3b is supported in it. The cock 4 is manufactured as a welding structure body, and these members are made of a highly abrasion resistant material. Annular segments 4.3, 4.4 are useful not only for precisely fixing the end parts of the pipe parts 4.1, 4.2 but also useful as the sealing surface for cooperating with an elastomer seal.</p> |
