The plant comprises a cylindrical tube 1 arranged to be driven in rotation about its axis of revolution, a rotary shaft 10 provided with means to be driven in rotation in the same direction as the tube 1 at a higher and variable speed. The shaft 10 extends axially over the whole length of the tube 1 and carries arms 14A, 14B extending radially, supporting devices 17 for scraping the inner wall of the tube 1. The arms 14A, 14B are arranged so as to permit a close contact, while rotating, between the scraping devices 17 and the inner wall of the tube. Near one of its ends the tube 1 comprises a device 21 for recovering solid components and, at the other end, a device 22 enabling vapour to be removed. Tube 1 is provided with heating means 4. The plant is particularly useful for the distillation of dirty solvents employed by the chemical industry. <IMAGE>
