<p>PURPOSE:To improve the throughput of packet exchange processing by providing a buffer memory release inhibit flag to an interface control buffer memory between a multi-link protocol(MLP) function module and a single link protocol(SLP) function module and controlling the flag. CONSTITUTION:Lines b, c are multi-link protocol lines and a packet is sent from a level 3 control PLP function module 11 to a level 2.5 control MLP function module 12. Then the packet is used to set the buffer memory release inhibit flag of the interface control buffer memory. SLP function modules 131-133 receiving the flag send a packet to the line (b) (or line c) and the interface control buffer memory does not apply release processing according to the buffer memory release inhibit flag.</p> |
