Arrangement is proposed to clean up water from deep aquifiers, by removing lower density contaminants. Arrangement comprises, as a min., a drain unit, a filter body in a treatment ditch with a dividing wall, and at least one collector pit located on the contaminated water side of the dividing wall, connected to the drain unit and provided with inlet openings. - Dividing wall is of a water-tight material. also, a weir is located in the treatment ditch and extends into the filter body. The lower end of the weir is below the minimum water table level(s). The upper end is above the bottom of the divider wall. The weir is also of water-tight material.(Dwg.0/1)
