In an evaporation carburettor for an internal combustion engine with a float chamber (9) containing a fuel (11), a fuel inlet (13) opening into the float chamber (9), a float needle valve (14) co-operating with the float (12) located in the float chamber (9) and cutting off the fuel inlet, a mixing chamber (5) connected with the combustion chambers of engine cylinders and linked to an intake elbow (2), an air pipe connected to the mixing chamber (5) and a throttle valve (8), a device for atomising the liquid fuel (11) is formed in a chamber between the float chamber (9) and the mixing chamber (5). This device has an evaporation chamber (10) connected at its lower region with the float chamber (9) and communicating with the space in the float chamber in which at least one blocking member (16) is formed in its wall adjacent the mixing chamber which ensures a through-flow dependent upon an existing underpressure. The evaporation chamber (10) is fitted in a heat exchanger (17) heated by the combustion products leaving the engine (1). |
