The 5'-inosine acid producing microorganism which is lacking in the activity of urease is presented. Thus, the title microorganism belongs to Brevibacterium sp. and requires adenine for growth. The biochemical characters of the above microorganism (KFCC-10617) are adenine-auxotroph, deficient in activity of urease, and high sensitivity to lysozyme.
