PURPOSE:To allow conductive adhesive to thoroughly extend and to coat it in suitable coating amount by coating the inner face of the sheath case of an energy storage element at two or more positions with the conductive adhesive, and adhering sheetlike electrodes to the case through the adhesive. CONSTITUTION:A stainless steel case body 10 is employed, and coated at three positions of its bottom with carbon adhesive 11. As a cap 20, a stainless steel cap is employed, and coated at three positions of its bottom with carbon adhesive 11. Thereafter, sheetlike polarizable electrodes 12 are secured to the bottoms of the case body and the cap through the adhesive, and an electric double layer capacitor is formed thereof. |
