PURPOSE:To prevent production of defective grinding and to reduce defective rate by providing a prescribed groove to one side of a core in the forming of core green compact, arranging the sintered compact after sintering based on the groove and grinding the sintered compact. CONSTITUTION:A groove 4, 0.5mm wide and 0.3mm deep is provided to an A face 6 in the case of compacting of a ferrite core for a magnetic head. The groove 4 remains sharply even after sintering, the sintered compact is arranged by using the groove 4 as a mark prior to the grinding and a B face 7 without any groove 4 is directed upward, then the B face 7 is surely directed upward, and the ground part 2 of the B face 7 is ground at first. Then the core is turned over and a step 3 of the A face 6 is subject to step working. As a result, the groove 4 is finally removed and the A, B faces are not mistaken and defective grinding is prevented. |
