MANUFACTURING METHOD OF POLYESTER FIBER

A polyester fiber for a reinforcing rubber is produced by treating the surface of a drawn yarn or an undrawn yarn obtd. by melt-spinning a polyester polymer with a treating agent, and heattreating the yarn at 80-250 deg.C. The treating agent is prepd. by adding 70-95% polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester and 5-30% fatty acid salt to epoxy cpd having 2 epoxy gps., and diluting the mixt. to become 5-40% diluent against a treating water. The fiber has a good heat- resistance and addhesive strength to the rubber.
