<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the appearance of noise on a connecting part between the start of recording and the end of recording at the time of assemble edition by reproducing a pilot signal to be the base of a tracking error signal by the 2nd magnetic heads. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd magnetic heads C, D for previously scanning tracks to be scanned by magnetic heads A, B for recording/reproducing video signals are fixed to a rotary cylinder 30 provided with the magnetic heads A, B and tracking control is executed by a tracking error signal obtained by the 2nd magnetic heads. Namely, the 2nd magnetic heads C, D reproduce a pilot signal recorded on recording tracks and a tracking error signal is obtained by finding out a difference DELTAfb between the frequency f4 of the obtained reproduced pilot signal and the frequency of a reference pilot signal f1 to use the tracking error signal for tracking control. Consequently, the appearance of noise on a reproduced image on the connecting part between the start of recording and the end of recording at the time of assemble edition of 8m/m VTR is prevented.</p> |
