PURPOSE:To read the signals of different levels with the same device by providing a level adjusting part and switching the reading signal levels outputted from an optical head according to the kinds of recording media. CONSTITUTION:A load signal is outputted from a reading device 3 and a feed roller 7b rotates to feed the optical recording medium 5 onto a tape 7a when the medium 5 is inserted in an arrow direction. An operator manually operates a selector switch 9 to input the output of a photodetecting part D 2 of the optical head 6 via a voltage dividing circuit 8 to the reading device 3 when a card for writing having a low reflectivity is inserted as the medium 5. The circuit 8 sets the level of the output signal of the photodetecting part D 2 by a variable resistor VR at a prescribed level. The switch 9 is so switched as to input the output to the reading device 3 without passing the same through the circuit 8 if the medium 5 is the card having a high reflectivity and, therefore, the signals of the different levels are read with the same device 3. |
