PURPOSE:To make the border of an area with good accuracy in which informations have been priorly recorded from an area to be used for recording by using a mixture of metal and org. compd. for a recording film and using metal for a reflecting film. CONSTITUTION:On a substrate 11, there are successively formed the recording film 12, reflecting film 13 and protective film 14 to constitute the optical recording medium 10. The recording film 12 is formed by vaporizing guanine and Au from respective tungsten ports to deposite a two-element mixture film. Then a Cu film is formed as the reflecting film 13 on the recording film 12 by vapor deposition. The reflecting film 13 has high reflectivity, so that informations can be recorded in a preferable state. When the recording film is irradiated with a spot of laser light, Au in the film absorbs light energy and locally changes the color of the film into black. Thereby, the border of the area priorly containing information can be made with good accuracy from the area to be used for recording. |
