PURPOSE:To exactly execute the position calculation of plural simultaneously incident radiant rays by allowing a radiant ray from a body to be examined to be made incident on a scintillator through a collimator, dividing its output into two specific plural groups and calculating the incident position. CONSTITUTION:Only a radiant ray in the prescribed direction among radiant rays from a body 11 to be examined is made incident on a scintillator 14 through the collimator 13, and its output is supplied to a first position computer 18 through plural photomultiplier tubes 16. In that case, each photomultiplier tube 16 is divided into first plural groups, each group outputs a specific coordinate position signal corresponding to the incident ray, and based on its signal, rough position signals X0, Y0 of the incident radiant ray are calculated by the computer 18. Subsequently, by a second computer 19, the photomultiplier tube 16 corresponding to the signals X0, Y0 and the photomultiplier tube 16 for surrounding it form second plural groups, and based on each output of the photomultiplier tubes 16 belonging to its group, exact radiant ray incident position signals X, Y are calculated.
