An electropneumatic transducer comprises a chamber 14 having a fluid inlet nozzle 13 and outlet ports 24, 25 arranged on either side of a piezo-electric lamina 10. The lamina is anchored at one end to a support 11 and is deflected by electric signals applied to electrodes 21, 22 to vary the division of the flow between the outlet ports. As shown the outlet ports constitute the control signals for a pure fluid amplifier having a power jet 17 and outlets 19, 20. In a modification, the lamina is circular and controls the flow from an annular groove, the lamina being anchored at its centre.</p> |
