PREPARATION OF L-ISOLEUCINE

摘要

PURPOSE:To prepare the subject compound in a high yield while suppressing the production of by-products by enzymatically reacting a butyric acid derivative in the presence of an ethanol-utilizing and biotin-demanding microorganism belonging to Coryne type bacterial in an aqueous ethanol solvent under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A butyric acid derivative selected from among (D)L-alpha- aminobutyric acid, alpha-ketobutyric acid, (D)L-alpha-hydroxybutyric acid and salts thereof is enzymatically reacted in the presence of the bodies of an ethanol- utilizing biotin-demanding microorganism (e.g. Brevibacterium.flavum MJ-233 (FERM 1497) belonging to Coryne type bacteria or a treated product thereof in an aqueous ethanol solution while maintaining the ethanol concentration at 0.01-0.6vol.% in the reaction solution.
