PURPOSE:To improve the facility of operation in printing test patterns by providing a control circuit which decodes an artificial command between a control device which sends a pattern of a single dot line for a single scan and a printing mechanical section. CONSTITUTION:A string of signal bits (a) from a control device 1 output a string of bits (b) to a mechanical section 8 through an optical modulation circuit 7 under the control of a test pattern control circuit 9 for printing. If test printing is artificially commanded through a control panel 6, a conversion start signal is set as 1 by driving a circuit to control the conversion of a string of bits 5, and a start pulse is output from a start control circuit 3 under this state. Consequently, a circuit to convert a string of bits is reset to send the string of bits (b) as 0. If the string of bits (a) changes to 1, the circuit 2 operates reversely, and after this, (b) is set as 0 if the string of bits (a) is 1, and (b) is set as 1, if (a) is 0. If the state of 0 continues beyond a specified level, the circuit 2 is reset by a detection circuit 4 to send 0 to the string of bits (b). Thus, it is possible to improve the facility of operation in controlling the print ing of test patterns. |
