<p>PURPOSE: To accurately measure alcohol content with a simple economical method an apparatus by filling a receptacle closed on the upper part partially with wetting liquid with constant temperature kept fixedly, and introducing pressured air into a region beneath the wetting liquid. CONSTITUTION: For example, wetting liquid 3 is put in a large receptacle having a wetting liquid processor in the center or a wetting liquid receptacle of a wetting mechanism. A bell-type internal receptacle 2 is immersed in the receptacle 1 and covered on the upper part with a lid 5. When compressed air is applied into the receptacle 2 through a conduit 6, bubbles 9 ascend in the receptacle 2 and are broken upon reaching the liquid surface to hold the concentration of water steam-alcohol steam. This accurately corresponds to the condensation of alcohol in the wetting liquid 3. A portion of the mixture is guided to a measuring device through a conduit 7 and the content of combustible gas (alcohol steam) in the mixture, i.e., the concentration of alcohol in the wetting liquid 3 is measured.</p> |
