PURPOSE:To provide a far infrared radiation emitter having greenish color tone and high emissivity by plasma-spraying ZrO2-SiO2 ceramics containing specific amounts of Al2O3, MgO, CaO, and Cr2O3 on a heat-resisting base material. CONSTITUTION:A far infrared radiation emitter is constituted by plasma- spraying ceramics having a composition consisting of <=35wt.%, in total, of one or more kinds among Al2O3, MgO, and CaO and Cr2O3, <=60wt.% SiO2, and the balance ZrO2 with inevitable impurities on a heat-resisting base material, such as stainless steel sheet. After thermal spraying, heat treatment is performed, it necessary. By this method, the resulting sprayed deposit becomes greenish, and further, this emitter can be efficiently used for heating resin, etc. |
