PURPOSE:To provide a far infrared radiation emitter effective in heating moisture (food) by plasma-spraying ZrO2 ceramics containing specific amounts of MgO, Y2O3, Cr2O3, SiO2, etc., and semistabilized by CaO on a heat-resisting base material and then applying heat treatment to the above. CONSTITUTION:A ceramics having a composition consisting of <=10wt.%, in total, of one or more kinds among MgO, Y2O3, Cr2O3, and SiO2 and the balance ZrO2 semistabilized by CaO is plasma-sprayed on a heat-resisting base material, such as stainless steel sheet. After thermal spraying, heat treatment is performed at 650-350 deg.C, by which the far infrared radiation emitter can be formed. By this method, the resulting sprayed deposit has a yellowish color tone, and further, this emitter can be efficiently used for heating moisture (food). |
