The process comprises the following stages: - Primary grinding of the waste or raw material and then open-air fermentation in uncompacted swaths; - Storing the raw material in pits and then drying as far as the grinder; - The grinding device throws the raw material into a rotary screen and the oversize material is recovered separately; - The raw material then passes through heated grinder-rotary screen units to reduce its particle size; - Drying the unfermentable oversize material, then disintegration with a grinder and finally heating in silos before milling.
