PURPOSE:To execute recognition for discriminating an important part in a message within irreducibly minimum time by making the display form of a character string part with routine meaning different from the display form of a figure string part with arbitrary and important meaning. CONSTITUTION:When a selective call number in a receiving signal is coincident with a call signal stored and set into a memory element 4 of its own receiver in advance, the presence and absence of a first control signal 9 in a following signal is detected by a detection part 5 in a decoder 3. When the first control signal is detected, a decoder 6 decodes a 5th character string stored and set to the memory element 4, which is determined in advance, corresponding to a 4th code train 10 next following and displays the character string in a display part 8 with full size display. When the first control signal is not detected, a 6th character stored and set to the memory element 4, which is determined in advance, is decoded and displayed in the display part 8 with half size display. |
