<p>PURPOSE: To attain the high speed drawing of a polygon whose linear shading is operated by providing each step of the selection of key vertexes, division of a polygon, calculation of the luminance value of each scanning line, and interpolation of the luminance of each pixel. CONSTITUTION: A key vertex V1 arranged at the opposite side of one side (reference side) having the horizontal direction of a polygon 10 is selected. Then, the vertex V1 is connected with all vertexes except the adjacent vertexes with dotted lines 12, and the polygon 10 is divided into one group of triangles. The triangles without one horizontal side (reference side) are further divided. Then, X and Y coordinates and combined luminance values L are applied to each point of a triangle V1-V5-V6, and a scanning line(corresponding point) between the point V1 and a reference side V6-V5 is described by calculating a line parameter including the end point of the horizontal direction and the luminance values. This processing is executed to all the triangles. Then, the interpolation of the luminance of each pixel of the scanning line is operated. Afterwards, shading is applied to all the triangles, and as a result, the shading of the whole polygon is applied.</p> |
