PURPOSE:To form a device which has excellent durability and is capable of efficiently generating ozone by constituting an anode of a specified structure in an electrolytic ozonizer wherein a solid electrolytic membrane is pinched between the anode and a cathode. CONSTITUTION:A solid electrolytic membrane 1 (a fluorine-based cation exchange membrane having about 100-800mum thickness) is pinched by an anode 3 and a cathode 4 (gas-permeable metal). DC voltage is impressed between both electrodes 3, 4 and water is supplied to the contact face side of the membrane 1 and the anode 3 and ozone is electrolytically generated. At this time, the anode 3 is constituted of both the corrosion resistant metal 3a and solid lead dioxide 3b described hereunder. This metal 3a has gas-transmissibility by a gas-transmissible part 2 opposed to the single side of the membrane 1. The solid lead dioxide 3b is interposed between the metal 3a and the membrane 1 and has many contact parts and noncontact parts on the surface of the membrane 1 and also is electrically connected to the metal 3a. The gas transmissible part 2 of the metal 3a is communicated with the space 5 formed to the noncontact parts on the membrane 1. |
