<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an operator from getting his hand in contact with a drive part or an electric part inside a unit main body by mistake to cause an accident at the time of supplying paper by providing the drive control means of a drive means for engaging a stopping piece with a pawl due to descent of a paper mounting table during image forming action and keeping the engagement condi tion till completion of the image forming action. CONSTITUTION:If paper sheets in a paper supplying device are exhausted when a copying machine is performing copying action by another paper supplying device, and a paper mounting table 2 moves down automatically, a microcom puter gets a solenoid 9 ON, and a pawl 3 is locked by a stopping piece 7 to prevent a tray 1 from being drawn. When the copying action is completed to stop drive of a photosensitive body, fixing rollers, transport rollers, etc., a microcomputer gets the solenoid 9 off and releases the clock of the pawl 3 by the stopping piece 7, thereby the tray base 1 can be drawn.</p> |
