The braking pressure control for automotive vehicle comprises a regulating piston (5) and a valve closure (6) and which governs the connection between a pressure-fluid inlet (3) and a pressure-fluid outlet (4). The valve closure is coupled to a pressure-responsively displaceable control piston (20) which is normally free to move upwards under inlet pressure to keep the valve open but on vehicle deceleration exceeding a threshold an inertial weight (33) prevents displacement of the control piston (20) which in turn limits upward movement of the closure so that the valve is able to close and open in a cyclic manner and effect pressure modulation.
