PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a long-sized ceramic molded body due to creep and to enhance dimensional accuracy by suspending the molded body in a heat treatment space and moving it downward at a controlled speed in the perpendicular direction at the time of firing. CONSTITUTION:When a long-sized ceramic molded body M is suspended in a heat treatment space 11A with a suspending member 13 and fired by passing through the firing temp. region of the space 11A enclosed by a heating element 12 in the vertical direction, the molded body M is held in the firing temp. region so that the holding time is shortened as the upper end of the molded body M is brought close to the region. |
