<p>PURPOSE:To change the inclination of each tape guide post by the output of a sensor and to control the width direction traveling position of the tape by arranging plural posts and sensors successively along the tape traveling direction of a rotary head drum. CONSTITUTION:No flange is fixed to the posts 2 to 5 and the drum 6 is not provided with a lead. The inclinations of the loading posts 3, 4 can be varied by an actuator, the vertical fluctuation of the tape 1 is detected by sensors 7, 8 and the posts 3, 4 are inclined by the detecting signals to travel the tape 1 on a normal position. A driving mechanism transmits an electric signal from the sensor to a bimorph type piezo-electric element to incline the posts 3, 4 around the width direction center. If the posts 3, 4 are inclined by alpha deg. in an X-Z plane when the tape 1 is made incident upon the vertical post from the X direction, wound around the post by an angle theta and traveled, the directional cosine of the center line of the tape delivered from the post can be calculated as the function of alpha and the angle is controlled in the reverse direction to project the tape in a prescribed direction.</p> |
