Process for in-situ detoxification of groundwater contaminated by polluting compounds such as nitrates, pesticides, chlorinated solvents, pyralenes, mineral oils, various anthropogenic organochemical compounds, characterised by confinement in a part of the aquifer, by production of hydraulic gradients, of a reaction zone (AB) within which there are monitored at the same time: the presence of microorganisms capable of breathing, in an anoxic regime, nitrates, sulphates or other sources of covalent oxygen, and capable of cometabolising the organic toxic compounds to be removed, the presence of such a source of covalent oxygen, and the presence of a degradable carbon source.

|
