<p>PURPOSE:To make the reader small in size by connecting a part of signal cable connecting to a read means to a lower projection of the read means. CONSTITUTION:A bottom being a part of read unit 3 is protruded lower than the highest part of a recorder P and one terminal of a signal cable 7 is connected to the part. Since one terminal of the signal cable 7 is connected to the lower projection of the read unit 3 in this way, the loop height formed by the signal cable 7 when a read carriage 2 is moved reciprocatingly is lowered. Thus, the height of the entire reader is decreased without losing the durability of the signal cable 7 and the device is made small.</p> |
