PURPOSE:To form a proper image automatically even when a document with a frame-shaped mark and a document with no mark are handled together by deciding whether or not an original image is marked in marker editing mode and performing corresponding control. CONSTITUTION:A marking decision circuit 52 decides whether or not the original image is marked from the output of an image readout means CCD unit 7. When the decision circuit 52 decides that the original image is marked in the marker editing mode, an image editing means 18 is so controlled as to perform editing corresponding to the set marker editing mode. When no mark is detected, a control means 45 resets the marker editing mode temporarily for the image forming operation of the original. At this time, the unit 7 reads a light image of the original and converts the image into an electric signal, which is outputted to the control means 45. Then when a copy is taken while the original which has the frame-shaped mark and original having no mark are both present, the image formation is performed automatically and properly. |
