PURPOSE:To realize the camera capable of securely zooming operation while exposuring through easy operation by starting exposure after a specific time, counted by a counting means, after the start of zooming. CONSTITUTION:A control part 1 has a Pz (power zooming) mode switching means 6, a mode switching means 7, a zooming start means 8, an exposure starting means 9, and the counting means 14. The Pz mode switching means 6 switches modes according to the input signal from a Pz mode changeover switch 33. A zooming start means 8 outputs a driving signal to a zoom motor 4 according to an input signal from a wide-angle button 29 or telephoto button 30 to start the zooming operation. In synchronizm with the start of this zooming, the counting means 14 begins to count and sends a signal to a solenoid 5 the previously set time later to start the exposure. This specific time is determined to the time that zooming speed of a zoom lens reaches constant, thereby stabiliz ing the zooming operation. |
