PURPOSE:To obtain globular grains having smooth surface and good touch and most suitable as a cosmetic material by coating surface of globular grains having a specific grain size with a polysiloxane and then subjecting the coated polyamide globular grains to heat treatment at a specific temperature or above. CONSTITUTION:(A) Polyamide granular grains (preferably nylon 12 grains) having 0.1-30 mum, preferably 3-20mum average grain size are subjected to dry blend or wet blend with (B) a dimethylpolysiloxane of 1-50 wt.%, preferably 4-15 wt.% based on the component A, preferably having 500-10,000 cs, especially 1,000-8,000 cs viscosity (at 25 deg.C) to coat the surface of the component A with the component B and then the blend is subjected to heat treatment at 100-150 deg.C for 1-50 hr, especially 5-30 hr, preferably under reduced pressure to provide the polyamide grains having smooth surface and good touch, prevented in casing and most suitable as a cosmetic material. |
