THERMOPLASTIC PIPES MANUFACTURING PROCESS AND EQUIPMENT

Thermoplastic pipes with patterned walls are prepd. by winding plastic bands spirally around a drum. The unit has a mobile frame on rollers equipped with an adjustable height platform. Adjustment is due to hydraulic cylinders. The platform supports a variable speed motor which operates a shaft via belt transmission. The shaft is complete with a cooling system. A winding drum is fixed at the head of this shaft. Wound thermoplastic bands are welded by a roller, the position of which is governed by a rack and pinion system. Pipes are removed from the drum due to its conicality. A pulling device removes the pipes which are cut to required length by a tilting cutter.
